The Old Madisonville Cemetery is rich in the history of the town.  The cemetery was originally given to a group of 10 - 15 citizens of Madisonville in 1848. The earliest grave appears to be from 1800 and the Cemetery has been used as late at 1999.  There are more than 30 family gravesites and numerous old unmarked sites.

There is an effort to revitalize the site by citizens of The Town of Madisonville.  For more information, contact:
